always welcome to visit us at Chesapeake Minis.
Welcome to Chesapeake Minis
While all miniature horses are beautiful and absolutely adorable, my favorites are the dilute colors
palominos, buckskins, and cremellos.
I've
carefully selected my stallion, a Boones Little Buckeroo grandson, and my mares, all having Shadow Oaks Cock Robin, Orion Light Vant
Huttenest, Komokos Little King Supreme and/or Dell Teras Moon Man bloodlines, to produce the best dilution has to offer in both conformation
and personality.
We have a very relaxed and friendly attitude at Chesapeake Minis, and our goal is to match your needs with
the perfect miniature horse, for the show ring, companionship, and love.
We enjoy showing off our miniature horses, so please feel
free to stop by.

Specializing in dilution, conformation and disposition
Chesapeake Minis is the continuation of my childhood love for horses. It just shows … you never outgrow the best things in life.
From the age of 12, I grew up showing several large ponies in pony club activities, dressage and combined training events. When college took me away for five years, the horses stayed at home with my father, but I continued to ride and even played junior varsity polo. When I then ventured onto law school for another three years, my dear Dad said "enough" and we found a new loving home for my remaining gelding.
Twenty some years later, I had a home on fifteen acres that I shared with several dogs, cats, rabbits, and numerous ducks and geese. Do you know what was missing from this picture?
In April 2003 there was a local classified ad in the paper for two miniature horses. I brought them home the following weekend, after a rush project of fencing in a pasture and having a run-in barn delivered and set. Rosebud and Daisy settled in nicely and seemed to enjoy their new digs
As they say though, miniature horses are like potato chips…you can't have just one.
In October 2004 I saw an advertisement for three registered mares in need of a new home, two of which were confirmed in foal. Thinking it might be nice to start showing again and never having had any foals before, they came home the following week. Six months later, two beautiful fillies, Aprille and Hope, were born on the farm. Chesapeake Minis had begun. I now share my home with numerous dogs, cats, miniature horses, and rabbits. Thanks for stopping by my website.
